The road to success
shouldn't be lonely
What may have started as a labour of love can quickly grow into a Frankenlike Monster that will devour your time and creativity. And even if you master all the challenges to create a successful business you will quickly find that it does little good if you have no one to share it with.
It's time to ask the question:
Free To Succeed is a Mastermind gathering of business owners in the Wedding Events Industry in Winnipeg who want to build a better business and share their success with others.
We will meet in person regularly in South Winnipeg to share our struggles and challenge each other to grow, learn, and dream. The meeting location, time, and frequency is to be determined.
Only confirmed applicants will be required to pay the $100 fee, due at the first meeting. The registration fee will go towards supporting the meetings with food and drink. Excess funds will be donated. Free To Succeed is not-for-profit mastermind group.
Spaces in Free To Succeed are limited to 10 Business Owners and selections will be based on the best fit of applicants. Registration is controlled to limit competition and encourage diverse interactions.
Mastermind groups offer a combination of brainstorming, education, peer accountability and support in a group setting to sharpen your business and personal skills. A mastermind group helps you and your mastermind group members achieve success. Participants challenge each other to set powerful goals, and more importantly, to accomplish them. Free To Succeed is for business owners who have created a full-time business in the event industry in Winnipeg. This group is limited to the Event Industry so that we can work together to tackle problems that are unique our line of work.
Starting in October 2018, Free To Succeed will be either be every week over 10 weeks or every second week over 6 months, depending on the preferences of members. If meetings are weekly, it will start in October and conclude in December. If meetings are biweekly it will start in October and conclude in March 2019 with a break in December over Christmas. After this members will have the opportunity to continue meeting or open up their spot for a new member.
Everyone who registers, including the facilitator, will pay $100. All registration money will be used support the gatherings with food and drinks. Any money left over will be used for an event at the end of the 10 weeks or be donated to a charity. No one, including the facilitator and host, will personally profit from this registration fee.
To allow room for everyone to have a voice in the meetings, registration will be limited to 10 members, not including the facilitator.
To better serve each other's needs you either need to be full-time currently or plan to go full-time soon. If you are happy with the full-time job you have and don't plan to fully commit to owning your business then this Mastermind is not for you.
To make Free To Succeed a safe space for open dialogue there will only be space for one member per service-type. So one photographer, one videographer, one planner, etc.
Applications will be finalized in early September. Acceptance will be based on the best fit for all applicants. If you do not get accepted you can still get access to weekly resources or be reconsidered when a seat opens up.
Free To Succeed is currently only for people to meet IN PERSON. If you are interested but unable to join you can still access the learning materials that are shared throughout the 10 ten weeks.
As a member of the Free To Succeed Mastermind, we will ask that you do your best to commit to as many meetings as possible. It will be hard to engage and grow if you are rarely there. This is not a class that can be missed and caught up on. We are a community of personal growth, and it would be hard to create an environment of trust if a member only shows up a handful of times. I understand, we have businesses to run and sometimes we must change our plans, so I will not put a threshold how many meetings you must commit to, but please consider your commitment to the process.
