What Makes A Photo?
Back in the film days, developing was intrinsically part of the creative process. Without it, images couldn't be viewed and enjoyed. Thanks to technology, we can capture and 'develop' photos right on our phones! The upside is that we can quickly capture and share beautiful memories without spending time in the dark room. The downside is that most of the digital information that makes up the photo is discarded in the process, which makes editing it difficult or impossible.
To maintain full control over the image in our digital 'darkroom', we shoot photos in a RAW format to preserve as much digital information as possible. The file size of each photo is quite large, but this way we can stylize each photo to our liking. In some cases, we can even save what would be otherwise an unusable photo.
